Technologies
At the UCLA PBPL, the technologies that underpin our approach to accelerator and physics are largely developed in-house. Foremost among these particle beam technologies are: high-field radio-frequency cavities for particle acceleration and manipulation, and advanced magnetostatic devices. At the PBPL students are exposed to state-of-the-art design and fabrication methods, including use 3D electromagnetic design codes and CAD programs, as well as sophisticated testing techniques.
