Fabrication of Single-walled Carbon Nanotube Field Effect Transistors and their Functionalization for Biosensing Applications
This talk will introduce the fabrication process of carbon nanotube field effect transistors using a single-walled nanotube, and the devices' electronic properties. After fabrication, the devices are decorated with Au nanoparticles, which are electrodeposited onto the nanotubes. The Au nanoparticles serve as linkers between nanotube and biomolecules, therefore effectively functionalize the device with bio-receptors for highly selective sensing.
