Gerard Andonian

Gerard Andonian is an Associate Researcher in the Particle Beam Physics Laboratory in the UCLA Department of Physics. His work focuses on diagnostics of high brightness beams, beam phase space manipulations, electron beam - laser interactions, and advanced acceleration concepts including dielectric and plasma wakefield acceleration. He has a broad background in using computational methods for start-to-end tracking of particle dynamics and radiation generation for design and execution of practicable experiments. He has collaborated and performed experiments at Brookhaven National Laboratory, SLAC National Laboratory, and Argonne National Laboratory. His current interests include incorporating the fields of designer particle beams with spectrally tailored, structure-based wakefields for next generation acceleration development, and exploring sub-femtosecond temporal dynamics in charged particle bunches.
