The Science and Technology Research Building (STRB) became known for the housing the control room of the failed Mars Polar Lander. The STRB houses a number of large scale experiments – The Electric Tokomak; The Large Area Plasma Device; The Plasma Centrifuge; as well as serves as the fabrication site for particle physics detectors. PBPL uses a room in this facility for magnet and RF testing as well as a home to our computing cluster.
