PBPL Proudly Announces Graduation of Masters Student Ron Agustsson

(Los Angeles, CA, 14JUL04) The Particle Beam Physics Laboratory is proud to announce the graduation of Ronald "Ron" Agustsson. The filing of Ron's thesis was complete on June 7, 2004 thus completing the requirements for a masters degree in physics. Today we announce the public availability of his work.

The thesis is entitled, "Design, Construction, Simulation and Implementation of a Magnetic Electron Bunch Compressor."

Mr. Agustsson joined PBPL in 1999 while still working on his undergraduate degree in Physics at UCLA. Before starting on the complex ATF bunch compressor, Ron worked at the Neptune Laboratory as well as on physics simulations and mechnical design for a number of projects.

The Particle Beam Physics Laboratory at the UCLA Department of Physics investigates beam physics, accelerators and attendant technologies.

Additional information on PBPL is available at the group web site: http://pbpl.physics.ucla.edu/
